Phase 1 complete!

Five weeks ago, I started my "Getting Fit" project. Today is the start of Phase 2. Phase 1 completed.
Phase 1 Table
I have lost a total of 3.5kg so far. Good progress considering the many setbacks to the project. The first week was tough as hell. We went back to Sibu for Ching Ming festival, on the 1st of April, so the project was put on hold for the week, amidst busy preparation and setting of Exam papers for my students.
My Weight. Target is 80kg still over weight. Secondary Target will put me on the upper  BMI limit.
So week 2 went on as normal. But week 3 was election week. This time around I skipped 3 days of workout, just to attend EPIC election campaigns, and an evening spend in front of the monitor observing tweets coming in for the election results.

Week 4 was the Church’s Holy week; again I skipped 4 days of workout, starting with Holy Thursday all the way till Easter Sunday (yesterday).

Hopefully Phase 2 of the workouts can progress without much interruption.

Calculator Bug?

What is the correct answer for 30 / 2 (2+3) / 5? 0.6 or 15?

Manual mathematical calculation it is 15!
 30 / 2 (2+3) / 5 = 30 / 2 (5) / 5 = 15 (5) /5 = 75 / 5 = 15.

Then why is it some calculators come up with the wrong answer?

The answer is simple, this is because of some programing bug, multiplication has a higher priority function then division.  So the calculator will see 30/2*5/5 after computing (2+3) and compute the multiplication 1st , followed by the division so the equation would become 30 / 10 / 5 = 3/5 = 0.6.

Many software has already resolve this issue. Attempting to enter "=30/2(2+3)/5" in Excel will result in the following warning.

Accepting the change will give the correct answer, as  multiplication *, division /, and modulus %, now has the same priority.

Similarly the Calculator program in Windows.

The '2' cannot be entered without first pressing the arithmetic operator.

Yay we voted!

What a morning! 7 early 8 early, EC is already trying to confuse people. On the website, we are supposed to cast our vote at Tadika Kemas Kampung Stampin.

But when we reached there we saw this.... and there were no people, no voters queuing up, no traffic or at least some some sort of indication that, that is the polling station.
Notice at the Main Road Side.
We thought that the venue has changed, so we went to Kampung Lubok Buan. Upon reaching there, there were a lot of people queuing up. Mr. Alfred Yap was there, but he only shook hand with the Dayak votes. He completely ignored the Chinese voters that were there. How silly of him.....

Alot of voters here. Some of them are ask to go back to the correct polling station.
When we reached the counter, the EC officer there said our names were not in the list. We said there is a notice outside by the road side at Tadika Kemas saying the venue has changed to Kpg Lubok Buan. He argued that it is supposed to be at Tadika Kemas. So we went back again to Tadika Kemas.

True enough there was a unnoticeable print. "LOKALITI TERLIBAT: 002 Stampin Resettlement" at first glance you will see only the RED print "PERTUKARAN PUSAT MENGUNDI" and "Balai Raya Kampung Lubok Buan Stampin Resettlement Scheme Jalan Stutong Baru"
Notice no voters queuing up, and the police are hiding at the back.
At the polling station at Tadika Kemas, there are only 5 EC workers , and no voters queuing up. I told one of the worker there that the notice outside is confusing. All he said was "is it?? no wonder there is no one here this morning"

Anyway I have casted my vote! Please pass this message along! so people will not be confused.

Final Campaign!

Will we see CHANGE Today? I pray that it is so...

Lau Lee and C121 Tauke must be very happy tonight! So many RED Shirt customer! hahah.

At the Final Campaign for PR, more than 40k people turn up tonight! It is the first time I see Stutong round about double park, 1st time traffic jam from UNACO round about  till ONETJ round about at Jalan Stutong! All I can say to BN is.... u guys are in DEEP SH*T! to PR... WELL DONE! GJ!

Panoramic view at 7pm.
I left shortly as it started to rain, and Athena wanted to go to bed. While at home tweets are coming in that the police are causing trouble.

Shame on them... we are not rioting! Its a just a political rally! and there is a police permit for it! Why are you treating us like rebels? Its a good thing that Kuchingnites are civil people! else I foresee a lot of people getting hurt.

I read tweets coming in from other rallies that citizens are getting beat up by the police. I pray that its not true... and may GOD give the people there courage to fight this injustice!

Feeling the itch to go witness the event that will go down in history, I cycled to the venue again, as it took me more than 30 mins to get home from Stutong market. Normally it will only take 2~3 mins.

The crowd has increased to almost 20k by then!
Crowd at 9pm!
I pray for a fair and clean election today, and the people of Sarawak would see a change tomorrow.

Let us all MAKE THE CHANGE TODAY!!! GO AND VOTE!!! JOM UBAH!!!

My first PR and BN Campaigns.

Yesterday, I attended my first BN and PR campaign :D. All I can say is there is a mood for UBAH!
At the BN campaign, everyone seems to be waiting for something only. There is this one Apek that sits very near the stage and looks up to the speaker, hoping to get something.  No one clap, or cheer, or respond to the speaker.  All waiting to get their Tupperware I guess. But looks like they are not giving out Tupperware anymore. All I got was a propaganda DVD, which I left at the rubbish bin at 101!

Since there is nothing interesting, we left for PR's campaign. 45 minutes of traffic jam later we arrive at the venue. There is no seats, no food, no free gifts. But there is A TON OF PEOPLE. The usual place where I would go for lunch is pack with sea of people!

The talks are damn POWERFUL. Here is a talk by Dato Sri Anwar.

And another by Lim Kit Siang, too bad I ran out or memory :( so cannot record the whole talk.

Oh don't forget to bring ERASER when you go vote this Saturday.  Erase the serial number if its written in pencil on ballot paper because it is considered spoilt vote, if not for BN. Tonight will attend another PR campaign at Stutong Market. CU all there! In RED SHIRT!

How much is your vote worth?

How much is your vote worth?

Lets do some simple maths... IF you take RM100 to vote BN.

Value of your vote = RM 100 / 1826 (number of days BN will be in power) = RM 0.05/day and another 5 years of corruption.

So DO THE RIGHT THING. Take their money and Vote the right candidate!
